“Too much of anything is bad but too much good whiskey is barely enough.”– Mark Twain, Author

It’s fitting that one of the greatest storytellers in American History had this to say about whiskey many years ago.

And as an author who wrote about life on the Mississippi River we have to believe that Mr. Twain was writing these words specifically about American’s only native spirit, Bourbon, a spirit that he surely enjoyed as it passed down that mighty river regularly heading for New Orleans and the rest of the world.

Bourbon is all about two things: (1) the people (those who make it and those who drink it), and (2) good stories. There is nothing better than sitting around with friends, both old and new, sharing a delicious glass of Bourbon and telling great stories.

At The Bourbon Life our mission is simple – to share our passion for all things Bourbon with you.

May your glasses always be full and may you keep on living The Bourbon Life.

Ok. I’ve not been much of a John Legend fan.

Until tonight.

What an absolutely incredible voice. I really don’t know what else to say.

Wow!

Thank you, Blackwood Distilling Co., for the invite!

*** NEW EPISODE ALERT ***

In this Episode of The Bourbon Life Podcast presented by Liquor Barn, The Bourbon Life Crew (minus Chad) spends some time hanging out together in The Bourbon Life Studios sharing some great conversation and even better pours.

The Crew discusses this year’s Kentucky Derby and Philip’s Derby Party which Matt attended and was apparently very overdressed, the new $15,000 Woodford Reserve bottle that was recently released, as well as other “unobtainable” Bourbons that are currently on the market, and the Unobtanium Experience that is going on at the KY Elk & Outdoor Fest in Bardstown on May 11th where 5 lucky winners will win their very own barrel of Bourbon from 1 of 5 different Kentucky Distilleries.

They also taste and review the new James B. Beam Distilling Co. Jim Beam Black 7-Year, the Nelsons Green Brier Distillery Nelson Bros. Calvados Cask Finished Bourbon, and the Filibuster Distillery Single Estate Single Barrel Bourbon.

This Episode was a lot of fun for The Crew to record and might have gone just a little bit off the rails a time or two.
